On the far side of the Boatshed, walk towards the water. At this point a boardwalk takes you over the water and in front of the Glebe Rowing Club. The pontoon for the club leads off this boardwalk. The section of the walk between the Clubhouse and Bridge Road is the most recent, and was completed in 2014. The new seawall has been designed to included suitable habitats for marine species, and there is also a section where intertidal vegetation has been planted, and adjoining that another planting of mangroves. There are very few public schools that have absolute waterfront access like this, and the Rowing Club encourages student participation in its activities. Near Bridge Road there are frames for the storage of boats and kayaks.

This part of the Bay is used by various kinds of vessels, including Harbour Cruise boats, fishing boats next to the Fish Markets, and visiting yachts. There are currently plans to move the Fish Market to this area at the head of Blackwattle Bay, and convert the Fish Market site to residential.
